Diabetes Type 2 Diabetes

People with type 2 diabetes may be able to control their blood sugar levels by treating their sleep apnea

A continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine, which treats sleep apnea by blowing air up a person's nose during sleep to keep the airway open, has been shown to also keep blood sugar levels more balanced, even in people without diabetes. So, people with type 2 diabetes, who are at high risk for sleep apnea, may find that CPAP helps them keep their blood sugar levels in check.
